The Cincinnati based non-profit arts organization and gallery, Manifest, invites visual artists and designers to submit works that examine the aesthetics of technology across time and media.

INTERFACE is an exhibit about the aesthetics of technology, with a focus that includes the emerging trends of new media, but also historical ones. As technologies evolve, so do their looks and feels: business-like terminals, 8-bit pixels, psychedelic pulp, the charm and color of Y2K, even the rhythm and timbre of the never-ending streams in our pockets. Each shift reveals not only technological progress, but cultural mood, nostalgia, and projection into the future.

Yet the aesthetics of our technologies are part of a longer story. Rasping marks in wood, a distinctive brushmark or smudge of oil paint, the crackle of vinyl, or the grain of film all remind us that technology—old or new—imprints itself on the art it makes possible.

We live by numbers. We count the days until a child is born, and the days since. We mark time in birthdays, anniversaries, and retirements. We measure progress in grades, salaries, “likes,” years on the job, and steps taken or miles run. Numbers shape how we understand ourselves and the world—our distance traveled, our age, our debts, our hopes.

Numbers are also a language. They describe not only what is tangible but also what lies beyond immediate observation—weather patterns, the speed of light, the pull of gravity, the scale of galaxies. Like letters and type, they carry formal beauty in their shapes and arrangements. Writing the notation for a perfect sphere is so much simpler than drawing one, and yet both actions “mean” the same concept.

The Cincinnati based non-profit arts organization and gallery, Manifest, invites visual artists and designers to submit works that use or examine repetition, either as a formal approach or as an underlying concept.

Repetition sets precedence. A repeated element, audible, visual, creates a pattern. This pattern, its predictability, leads to rhythm and continuity. It creates a sense of movement in time or place. When you break that pattern and interrupt the flow you have created you subvert that continuity and pull the rug out from the viewer. The use of repetition both builds and disrupts.

Repetition allows for comparison. Being refections of each other, doubles and doppelgängers highlight difference and create a dialogue.

Repetition is action full of care. Re-addressing a familiar subject permits you to return to it again with new knowledge, gained the first time you paid it attention.

Repetition persists. Trying again and again begets mastery. It erodes shorelines and carves canyons.

Repetition disseminates. Multiples, editions, clones, and copies spread, reaching far from where they originated.

For FROZEN, we seek photography that captures the distilled essence of winter—its clean lines, soft textures, and silent spaces. Think snow-covered hills at dawn, delicate frost crystals, breath turning to mist, frozen rivers, or the quiet geometry of ice.

Whether stark and minimal or rich with detail, we welcome work that celebrates winter’s ability to transform the ordinary into the extraordinary. All photographic approaches are encouraged—black and white, color, traditional, experimental, and everything in between.

Thunderbird Artists was approached and has now joined forces with the Downtown Chandler Community Partnership (5th year in a row) to produce an annual fine art and wine festival.

The Museum of Northern Arizona invites applications for the 2026 Namingha Institute Master Class, honoring the Namingha family’s commitment to supporting and nurturing young artists. This two-week residency provides six artists with a stimulating environment to explore diverse media, draw inspiration from the Colorado Plateau, and connect with master artists.

Presenting the best in contemporary and traditional printmaking, the North American Print Biennial has long been recognized as one of the most prestigious events of its kind. Founded in 1947, the mission of The Boston Printmakers is to promote public knowledge of printmaking, encourage and support artists working in printmaking, and promote excellence and innovation within the field of printmaking. 

Artists 18 years and older who are living and working in North America are eligible to enter. Original, innovative works in all printmaking media are eligible. Photographs, offset reproductions, or reproductions of artwork originally produced in another medium will not be considered. Submitted work may not have been exhibited in any other Boston Printmakers exhibition. Artists may submit up to three digital images of original prints completed between 2023-2026. In the repetition of the everyday, the smallest glimmer can cut through like a bolt of lightning—or arrive more gently, through a subtle but irrevocable shift. A whisper. Despite its brevity, it appears at just the right moment to change you. And changed, you may see everything differently.

Glimmers usually come unbidden. They find us in the shower, while preparing a meal, walking the dog, sweeping the studio floor. Magic arises from the mundanity of life—the neutral backdrop against which something unexpected and transformative can emerge. These flashes of the divine reach us when we are open enough, still enough, to receive them.

This exhibition will showcase works that emerge from or reflect on such moments of insight—when the everyday becomes fertile ground. A half-finished sketch, a broken vase, an old object, a glance out the window, a shimmer of light through a glass of water: each can become a door to something more. 

The Cincinnati based non-profit arts organization and gallery, Manifest, invites visual artists and designers to submit original works of art in any media, any genre/style, any size for consideration to be awarded this year’s Manifest Prize. One work will be selected for the $5,000 award, featured in the gallery, and published. Four semi-finalist works will also be recognized and published.

Works submitted must have been completed within the past five years (2020-2025), and must also be available for the exhibition period of early December through mid-January in order to be eligible.

Entry Fee: $60 for up to five entries submitted. $5 per each additional entry.

À l’impulsion de la Fabrique Pola, Documents d’artistes Nouvelle-Aquitaine, Pointdefuite et Zébra 3, structures déjà toutes alliées au sein d’un même projet associatif, un dispositif d’appui à la professionnalisation a été prototypé pour un groupe de 6 candidat.e.s s’inscrivant dans une communauté d’artistes de plus de 30 personnes.

Les porteurs et porteuses de L’art dans vivre, agissant, chacun, dans leurs domaines et expertises spécifiques, en faveur de la professionnalisation des artistes des arts plastiques et visuels en région Nouvelle-Aquitaine, ont choisi de s’allier, en complémentarité, dans le cadre d’une coopération pour penser et expérimenter une réponse nouvelle et commune aux enjeux d’insertion professionnelle des artistes-auteur·ice·s des arts plastiques et visuels, dès la sortie de l’école et/ou à l’amorçage ou réamorçage de leur parcours artistique professionnel.

La Fabrique Pola :

Pola est une fabrique artistique et culturelle.

Ce sont environ 140 travailleuses et travailleurs – les Habitants – qui œuvrent au quotidien dans un vaste espace de travail – équipement culturel – sur la rive droite de Bordeaux, en bord de Garonne.

Ils se reconnaissent collectivement comme actrices et acteurs solidaires de la filière des arts plastiques et visuels, allant des artistes plasticien.ne.s à des architectes, des urbanistes, des sérigraphes, des graveur·ses, des éditeurs de bande-dessinée, des designers, des comédiennes et comédiens, des porteur·ses du lien entre culture et santé, des juristes…

Les habitants de la Fabrique Pola défendent le rôle de l’artiste à tous les endroits de la transformation de la Cité : transformation urbaine, architecturale mais aussi sociale, éducative, solidaire, de transitions….

Au sein de cet écosystème, l’artiste-auteur·ice·s déploie une véritable agilité professionnelle qui lui permet d’assumer un projet professionnel et une viabilité économique fondée sur la coopération, l’échange et la solidarité. Les Habitants se reconnaissent dans les valeurs et usages de l’économie sociale et solidaire.

Pour orchestrer tous ces projets communs, impulser la dynamique collective, accompagner les Habitants, une équipe d’appui coordonne et anime les grandes missions portées par le collectif : la ressource professionnelle et l’ensemble des outils structurants pour la filière, l’équipement culturel et sa programmation artistique et culturelle, le lien et les actions avec les territoires et les personnes.

Cette grande maison est aussi une maison hospitalière. Elle se veut ouverte à tous les habitants du territoire, toutes les actions, initiatives ou associations qui portent un regard ouvert, solidaire et bienveillant sur la Cité.

Documents d’artistes Nouvelle Aquitaine :

Depuis 2012, Documents d’artistes Nouvelle-Aquitaine documente et accompagne le travail de création d’artistes plasticien·nes de la région. Ce travail prend la forme d’un fonds documentaire en ligne composé de dossiers monographiques élaborés en lien étroit avec chaque artiste et par un ensemble d’actions complémentaires, depuis la production de contenus éditoriaux inédits jusqu’à la mise en relation avec des commissaires, critiques d’art et autres professionnel·les. En collaboration avec de nombreux partenaires, dont le Réseau documents d’artistes et Astre - Réseau arts plastiques et visuels en Nouvelle-Aquitaine, l’association est un acteur structurant de la filière des arts visuels.

Pointdefuite :

L’association Pointdefuite est chargée de la mise en œuvre en région Nouvelle-Aquitaine de l’action Nouveaux commanditaires, en lien avec la Société des Nouveaux commanditaires. Cette action permet à des citoyen·nes confronté·es à des enjeux de société ou de développement d’un territoire, d’associer des artistes contemporain·es à leurs préoccupations en leur passant commande d’une œuvre. L’association Pointdefuite apporte également ses compétences de médiation dans l’accompagnement de commandes publiques et dans la professionnalisation des artistes dans le cadre de plusieurs dispositifs (conseils, formations, accompagnement).

Zébra3 :

Zébra3 est une association bordelaise fondée en 1993 qui intervient dans le domaine de l’art contemporain. Elle s’est faite connaître en 1998 grâce à l’édition du premier catalogue de vente d’art par correspondance Buy-Sellf.

Habitante de la Fabrique Pola dont elle est membre co-fondateur, elle initie des actions de soutien et de valorisation du travail des artistes plasticien.ne.s, en inscrivant principalement sa réflexion autour des problématiques liées à la diffusion et à la production dans ses dimensions techniques, socio-politiques, économiques et marchandes.
Zébra3 conçoit et organise des expositions, développe des résidences de production et des échanges artistiques à l’échelle locale et internationale.
Elle accompagne les artistes et commanditaires sur les différentes phases de réalisation de leurs projets, que ce soit dans le cadre d’expositions, d’événements, de commandes publiques ou de projets architecturaux, et leur met à disposition son atelier de production outillé de 500 m2.

PRÉ-REQUIS

• Artistes-auteur.ice·s en activité dans le champ des arts plastiques et visuels, en sortie d’école et/ou à l’amorçage ou réamorçage de leur projet artistique professionnel, sans limite d’âge.
• Avoir un numéro SIRET et être identifié par les organismes sociaux (démarche en cours acceptée).
• Être engagé·e dans une pratique artistique professionnelle (rémunératrice ou non).

La parité sera prise en compte dans la sélection des candidatures.

Thème 2026 : “La Loire intérieure”
Ce thème invite les candidats à explorer la Loire comme un espace multiple : réel et symbolique, extérieur et intérieur, visible et enfoui. Longtemps artère vivante du commerce, elle a aussi façonné les paysages, les cités et les manières de vivre. Elle reliait les territoires, mais offrait également des rives propices à la contemplation, aux promenades, aux rencontres. Ses bords, jalonnés de villages, de jardins, de ports ou de chemins, portent encore les traces de cette vie fluide : une mémoire qui se lit autant dans l’architecture et les récits que dans l’atmosphère des lieux.

Aujourd’hui, la Loire apparaît autant comme un témoin historique que comme un décor de vie quotidienne : espace de respiration, de rêverie, de nature. Les brumes, les reflets, les courbes du fleuve créent un paysage sensoriel qui nourrit l’imaginaire. Ses rives invitent à la déambulation et à l’investigation : elles sont traversées d’ombres et de lumières, d’histoires visibles ou enfouies, de détails à découvrir au rythme du pas.

La maison Ackerman s’inscrit dans cet héritage. Située en bord de Loire, elle a longtemps tiré parti de cette position stratégique pour développer son activité commerciale. Mais son implantation au coeur d’un territoire vivant, marqué par la présence du fleuve et la richesse de ses paysages, raconte aussi une qualité de vie, une relation intime entre la nature, l’homme et ses créations.

Environnement d’exposition :

• Lieu : galeries souterraines troglodytiques (près de 500 mètres de parcours)
• Espace attribué : galerie longue de plus de 50 mètres, obscurité propice aux jeux de lumière, d’ombre, de matière et de son
• Nature de l’oeuvre : éphémère, exposition programmée sur 5 ans
• Contraintes : taux d’hygrométrie élevé, choix de matériaux adaptés
  Le projet intégrera également la création d’une illustration déclinable sur étiquettes et/ou coffrets de la Maison Ackerman.

La Maison Ackerman et l’Abbaye royale de Fontevraud ont décidé d’unir leur savoir-faire et ressources afin de créer une résidence d’artiste et de faire naître un projet artistique dans un lieu hors norme et atypique.

En s’associant à l’Abbaye royale de Fontevraud, la Maison Ackerman s’appuie sur un savoir-faire reconnu pour favoriser la création contemporaine. Lieu emblématique du patrimoine ligérien, les Caves Ackerman proposent chaque année à un artiste de créer une oeuvre immersive en résonance avec l’espace singulier de leurs galeries souterraines, venant ainsi enrichir un parcours d’art unique au coeur de cet univers troglodytique.

Ces caves de tuffeau, longues, étroites et sculptées par l’homme, évoquent un paysage minéral, propice à l’imaginaire du voyage.

ArtWorks Together is an international festival taking place in 2026 in Sheffield. We are inviting artists to submit work to an international exhibition taking place at Millennium Gallery in Sheffield, exclusively celebrating artists with learning disabilities, or who have autism, or both.

Eligibility: Artists with a learning disability, or who are autistic (or both), aged 16+ and based anywhere in the world, can submit their artwork via our website to be considered by the professional judging panel. Any medium will be considered, from visual art to sculpture, film to digital media.

“Unveiled: Stories Behind the Silence” is a powerful exhibition revealing the hidden stories of domestic violence survivors — from pain and isolation to strength, healing, and hope.

The exhibition is designed to guide visitors through the full emotional spectrum that survivors may experience on their path to recovery.

This project aims to raise funds for Solace, a London-based charity that supports over 30,000 women and children each year in building lives free from abuse.

Open to arts graduates and practising artists from all over the world who wish to develop their drawing skills and studio practice. Applicants should be able to commit to a flexible, year-long course taught live online (UK time, Daytime courses are 10am – 5pm and evening courses run 6pm – 9pm, students choose their own schedule combining daytime and evening classes).

What you get: Taught by professional artists, the course offers a rigorous combination of taught courses, peer discussion, 1:1 mentoring and critical dialogue across three terms.

Students curate their own programme from a broad range of online drawing courses, enabling them to tailor the year to their practice and personal schedule. The flexibility of the format makes it ideal for those based outside London or the UK, or anyone balancing artmaking with other commitments.
