The Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers (RE) is offering a student membership of two years plus £1000 from the Gwen May Trust to eight recent printmaking graduates. Membership to the society includes the opportunity to participate in RE exhibitions for two years both nationally and internationally. Any printmaking graduate who has graduated between 2020 and 2023 can apply, there are two winners from each year.

Eligibility: The award is open to anyone who has studied printmaking on an undergraduate or postgraduate course (textile submissions are not eligible). All applicants must submit the requested documents of 6x images, PDF of image details and CV to be considered.

Over a span of a 2-month residency, selected performers will embark on an artist development program encompassing conceptual exploration, research, skill development, collaboration, and production of new artistic work. Through group and individual workshops with academics, curators, and artists, the participants merge theory with practice, culminating in substantive archival documentation made in collaboration with sound design and videography mentors - converging into the production of tangible artistic outputs.

Eligibility: Participants must be at least 18 years of age and be a legal EU resident - outside of the Netherlands. For this residency, in particular, we are looking for performers with a conceptual and movement-based practice. We are interested in participants whose work has been developed within notions that relate to the curatorial theme, or that can serve as a base to delve into the latter, compellingly and critically.

The Contest will take place during the 16th Gdansk Dance Festival from the 26th to 30th of August 2024. Only autonomous solos that premiered/will premiere between January 1, 2023, and May 03, 2024, or will be shown for the first time during the contest can be submitted to the competition. The required length of the solo is between 5 and 20 minutes. The competition aims to support dancers and to promote broadly understood contemporary dance (contemporary dance / contemporary ballet).

The Living Summer School (LSS) is a yearly week-long educational program promoting social and territorial innovation in and around the city of Kortrijk, Flanders. Young creatives, designers, and entrepreneurs collaborate with a network of local partners and experts. Together, they envision social impact concepts and design prototypes addressing relevant local territorial challenges. Within a week the participants create innovative prototypes, service blueprints, and concrete social interventions.

Eligibility: Applicants must be younger than 30 years old at the time of the application. We welcome applications from all levels of professional and academic experience and any field of study (architecture, art, urban planning, biology, sociology, engineering, environmental studies etc.)

What you get: All participants will be housed in DOK 27, a scout's housing next to the lake of Harelbeke. The LSS will provide financial assistance for travel to and from the summer school. Zilberman is thrilled to announce an Open Call for Young Fresh Different: Miami Edition, in collaboration with Fountainhead Arts. The University of Cambridge Museums are inviting applications from creatives to create a touring Pop-Up Museum in 2024 inspired by the theme: Our Planet. The Pop-Up Museum will engage a diverse range of audiences and take the Museums and their collections out into the community. It should be interactive, allowing visitors to handle objects and take part in activities. It will travel to community settings across the city and region in August-October 2024, promoting the UCM. The organisation will deliver the equivalent of 10 full days with a minimum of 50 hours of face-to-face delivery.

Eligibility: We are open to submissions from creatives working in collaboration with other artists/ agencies/ groups with relevant experience. At UCM, we pledge to champion equity, diversity, inclusion, anti-racism, and accessibility and welcome applications from all backgrounds.

Following this process, we will shortlist up to three successful applications to progress to the next stage. Each application will receive a fee of £1,000 for this stage where they will be required to attend a two-hour workshop with UCM staff to further discuss themes and objects, and develop a small project plan (including a provisional budget) before presenting their final idea to a panel. We understand ‘emerging’ to cover people across a spectrum of experience, which includes those who have not developed an event of any kind before. The selection process will prioritise emerging practitioners above more established practitioners.

The Drawing Year is a full-scholarship postgraduate-level course run by the Royal Drawing School in Shoreditch, London. The course offers up to thirty students the opportunity to focus on drawing from observation for one year. There are no tuition fees and all students receive a free studio space.

The Exhibitions Hub is pleased to launch its third Alumni Commission Award, in partnership with the Live Art Development Agency (LADA) and Forma. Following a 6-month period of research and development at LADA's archive, the selected artist will develop new performance work to be presented during an evening at Forma in November. The outcome is intentionally open to allow for creative experimentation and engagement approaches.

Eligibility: Goldsmiths Department of Art Alumni who graduated between 2019-2023.

Additionally, Members of staff from LADA and Forma will provide individual mentorships to guide and support the successful artist during the development of the project. Practitioners from Czech Republic, Poland, UK, Italy, Netherlands, Germany and Romania get a chance to be one of the 7 residencies researching the cultural ecology of water in some beautiful and secluded places from Romania's rural landscape.

Eligibility: Interdisciplinary and socially-engaged artists, architects/landscape architects, hydrologists, anthropologists, community organisers

What you get: The residency covers travel costs from the applicant’s country of residence, accommodation within the premises of the host organisation and some meals, a fee of 700 EUR and a 300 EUR production budget. The programme encourages and assists the insertion of the artist into the everyday life of the village. The host organisation will provide mediation and knowledge of the local context, connect the resident with the local community, document the process of the residency and share available resources for research. Communal meals will be organised on occasion. Depending on each host organisation, means of transportation can be put at disposal (bicycle, car, or information to public transportation).

Fernland Studios is an experimental ecological arts studio offering rest, rejuvenation, and reciprocity. We provide Black, Indigenous, and all people of colour artist residencies, ecological arts funding, and writing retreats at no cost to them and with additional funding to support their practice. Remote artist residencies run June 20 to August 1. Ecological Arts Funding is a small grant for cultural producers to propose programs. Our Writing Retreat is in-person from July 22-27 at Salishan Coastal Lodge.

Biennale College Theater 2024 comprises six training workshops coordinated by Masters on the theme of ‘Niger et Albus’.

Treehouse NDSM is currently running an Open Call for its next exhibition, ‘I log in, therefore I am’, on view in May and June 2024. This group show aims to give artists the opportunity to present their creative reflections on the 'dichotomy of presence in the digital age’, that is, the challenges of finding a sense of inner balance, while navigating through physical, mental, digital and virtual presences. Artists from all backgrounds and working in any medium are welcomed to apply as long as their projects fit the exhibition's theme.

The opportunity is open to individual artists and/or artists collective/ groups. They will work with the Wonderseekers team to design, plan, and facilitate a series of creative workshops to guide children, including our Young Design Panel through this process over the 9-month development phase. They will encourage children to express themselves through art, capturing their creative and imaginative responses to local environmental themes.

What you get: There is a fixed fee of £10,000 for the 9-month project. £1,000 of the fee will be paid within the first month of the project to cover the costs of initial expenses. The remainder of the fee will be paid in three equal payments of £3,000 at the end of each quarter (July, October, January). The fee is inclusive of all expenses, VAT, resources and delivery of workshops.

ALA presents the fourth edition of the ALA Art Prize, an award by ALA For Art promoted by the ALA Group with an open call dedicated to Italian and foreign artists and collectives of artists aged between 18 and 40. For the 2024 edition, the ALA Art Prize aims to reflect on the nuances of meaning in the concept of care by proposing "Notes on Taking Care" as the subject matter of the award.

The Responsa Foundation champions projects with a strong positive social impact and public engagement at their core. We have teamed up with NHS Imperial Health Charity, dedicated to enhancing patient care and experience by improving health outcomes through the provision of artworks in hospitals.

In the face of adversity, growing misinformation, and cultural genocide, artists become active participants, using their works as a medium for ideas and culture as a weapon against oppression. Tapestry is a gallery focused on exploring how women and gender-expansive individuals across cultures utilize textiles, embroidery, and clothing to convey resistance movements and preserve untold histories.

Hyde New Build Ltd are offering a £30,000 commission for the creation of a sculpture or art installation within the development known as Kingston Wharf, Brighton Road, Shoreham-by-Sea. The commission is to provide a piece of public art for the riverside walk that demonstrates a particular connection to 'Place' either locally to site or a wider connection to Shoreham-by-Sea or Southwick.

Pictorum Gallery is thrilled to announce our upcoming collaboration with a London-based organisation for a queer artist on a public art commission, scheduled to coincide with Pride 2024. Applicants must identify as queer and be available in May and June 2023 to complete the project in person in London. Please submit your portfolio and CV to jenna@pictorum.art

Eligibility: Any artist that identifies as queer and whose practice would be able to be transferred to a public art mural.

APE CAMP aims to serve as a vibrant hub for young artists, producers and engineers, where they embark on a journey to explore the convergent DNA of APEs. Over three days, 100 participants will be organised into teams based on their respective artistic and technical roles. This is a 10-week professional development programme led by Keith Saha, Co-CEO and Artistic Director for 20 Stories High, along with several incredible freelance specialists from around the UK. Presented by 20 Stories High, supported by Liverpool Everyman and Playhouse with support from LAMDA and Unity. The programme will equip participants with the tools necessary to enter a rehearsal room with confidence in their craft - from demystifying jargon to practical skills building. The 10-week programme will culminate in a scratch night performance for an invited audience.

Eligibility: The Actor’s Training Programme is for artists interested in performing who meet the following criteria; aged 18-30 based in Merseyside, early career (by this we mean either that you have little to no professional acting experience, or that you have some professional acting experience but no formal training in theatre). Preference will be given to artists who have faced barriers when accessing training, people who have experienced mental and/or physical health challenges , and/or people with extra responsibilities at home (e.g. primary caregiver for a relative or responsible for the care of children). We’re looking for 14 artists who can commit to all 10 workshop dates.

The Ellsworth Artist Residency program is dedicated to creating an accessible studio space for artists and is a dynamic opportunity for emerging artists to work and develop their visual art practice. The residency includes professional development opportunities including studio visits with curators, critics, scholars and artists as well as inclusion in a group exhibition in Art Share L.A.’s gallery. A selection committee, consisting of professionals in the field, including curators, scholars, and artists, reviews all the submitted applications.

Display Europe invites individual journalists and small media organisations to apply for a micro-grant. This micro-grants scheme, available until March 31, 2024, seeks to foster journalistic content creation on pressing topics. The initiative envisions a European media landscape firmly rooted in public values and inclusivity, striving to build a collective platform reflecting the diverse realities shared across the continent.

Eligibility: This call is open to small media organisations and individual journalists (older than 18 years and backed by a fiscal sponsor) from at least three European countries. The applicant and/or legal entity receiving the grant should be based in the European Union.

What you get: Successful projects can receive up to €2,000, and the initiative aims to fund 20-25 projects in total, covering both content production and operational expenses.

The Holy Art Gallery invites submissions for their London Open Art exhibition that will take place between 24 May - 2 June.
