11th Annual MFA Online Exhibition

The aftermath of events—whether within our environment, our studio practice, or ourselves—often lingers far longer than the events themselves. Residue is an online exhibition highlighting graduate students from all visual art disciplines, showcasing the ways our experiences shape us and continue to influence the present. This year’s theme encourages exploration of what remains: joy, nostalgia, anxiety, grief, anger, or otherwise—the lasting impressions embedded in our lives and identities."

Who can apply: This exhibit is open to graduate students, both nationally and internationally, currently enrolled in an MFA or MA program in the visual and media arts. Only artworks completed during graduate studies will be considered.

What you get: Modest $ awards for best in show, first, second, third place.

Open call for Roundabout Sculpture

Welcome Roundabout is a public art project commissioned by Public Art Matters on behalf of Taylor Wimpey.

The commission will create a new outdoor sculpture to be sited on a roundabout at the gateway to the development of the Former Wisley Airfield in Ockham Surrey.

Who can apply: We invite applications from artists and collectives with experience of creating outdoor sculpture in the public realm.

What you get: This is a paid commission of £9,100 plus an honorarium of £300.

Chobi Mela XI – International Festival of Photography

Chobi Mela invites Bangladeshi new media artists to apply for the Fellowship Programme 2026 — an opportunity to explore, experiment, and expand your creative practice. This fellowship encourages artists from diverse backgrounds to push the boundaries of lens-based practice, engaging with photography through interdisciplinary approaches such as time-based media, performance, installation, sculpture, and research-driven work.

Under the mentorship of Shohrab Jahan — interdisciplinary artist, curator, and Assistant Professor at the University of Chittagong — selected fellows will develop new projects that will be exhibited as part of Chobi Mela XI.

Who can apply: Bangladeshi nationals currently residing in Bangladesh.

The 2026 AIM Fellowship

Founded in 1980, the AIM Fellowship (formerly known as the “Artist in Marketplace ©” Fellowship) is The Bronx Museum’s flagship incubator and career accelerator program for the most promising artists based in NYC.

14 artists are selected for the program annually through a competitive application process. AIM Fellows are awarded a nine-month practicum led by a distinguished faculty of experts who cover finance, law, media management, and writing, among other subjects vital to maintaining and growing a successful career as an artist.

City of McKinney Library Call for Artists

Applicants are invited to submit their artwork (photography or digital art) for a custom design that will be translated into a perforated metal panel on the exterior space of the new planetarium.

The panel will cover the curvature of the dome, as well as a flat panel covering two stories of the library façade on the northwest corner of the building.

Open Call Out to Artists: Norwich Cathedral St Benedict Art Project

We are seeking three socially engaged artists to each create site-specific works to be displayed outdoors at Norwich Cathedral, in collaboration with people in the communities of three local charities.

We invite artists to engage with our Benedictine priorities of hospitality, wholeness and healing, and contemplative learning, to produce art work for temporary installation in parallel with an exhibition on the Rule of St Benedict by the Sainsbury Centre for the Visual Arts (University of East Anglia). Their art works will be displayed from May-October 2026.

Eligibility:

Artists with a current portfolio of completed works. You should have sympathy with either people who are migrants or homeless or a talent for inspiring others to learn. What you get:

Lead Artist for Habitat Sculptures

Eastleigh Borough Council is inviting submissions from Artists to develop and deliver a Public Art Commission providing new wildlife habitats. This project aims to use funding available to commission public art providing new wildlife habitats at Tree and Bee Network sites in the villages of Bishopstoke, Fair Oak and Horton Heath.

Eligibility: The Appointed Artist will be expected to have a demonstrable track record of delivering Public Art projects and have valid Public Liability Insurance of not less than £2,000,000.00. The Appointed Artist can be any nationality but must have the legal right to work in the UK. The Council is committed to equality of opportunity and believes in the benefits that a diverse portfolio can bring. We would encourage all applicants who meet the essential criteria to apply.

Royal Institute of Oil Painters Open Call Now Open

The Royal Institute of Oil Painters (ROI) invites artists worldwide, aged 18 and over, to submit artwork for the ROI Annual Exhibition 2025 at Mall Galleries.

Submission deadline: Friday 10 October 2025 at 12 noon.

This year’s special theme is ‘HOME’ – with the ROI Themed Painting Prize awarded for the best interpretation. However, the theme is optional and represents just one aspect of a broader exhibition, which welcomes oil paintings on all subjects.

AMADEUS Festival International Design Competition 2025/2026

AMADEUS Festival Vienna launches its fourth International Design Competition 2025/26, celebrating emerging talent in visual arts and graphic design. Framed within the Festival’s communication strategy, the competition offers a platform to showcase creativity inspired by classical music while promoting the Festival’s international image. This year’s theme, Metamorphosis, invites artists to explore transformation and creativity, with the chance to gain recognition and visibility on a global stage.

Eligibility: Any nationality between the ages of 16 and 30 are eligible to enter. Participants with any level of experience, whether it is amateur or professional, are eligible as long as their work abides by the stipulated regulations.

What you get: The winner will receive €500, a diploma, and a double ticket to the Opening Gala of the AMADEUS Festival 2026. Open Call: Diasporas Now U.K. Tour 2025-2026 Macrocosmic Futures

Diasporas Now, in partnership with the V&A, South London Gallery, Spike Island, and Primary, announce an open call for Global Majority artists working in live art for a national tour of commissioned performances under the theme of Macrocosmic Futures.

Eligibility: Diasporas Now will commission six performances by Global Majority artists over four evenings at U.K. arts institutions across Bristol (Spike Island), Nottingham (Primary), and London (V&A South Kensington, South London Gallery). The commissions will be selected via national open call by the Diasporas Now judging panel and representatives from the partner institutions. For this open call, Diasporas Now seeks proposals for performances that embody the themes of Macrocosmic Futures, working with live art mediums that span performance art, dance, visual art, and experimental music.

‘a space’ arts are pleased to announce a new public art project and now invite Expressions of Interest from artists. The project will introduce a series of exciting new works into new high quality academic accommodation on Hulse Road, Southampton.

The vision is for a series of works to populate a number of open spaces across the development along with a signature/headline piece towards the front of the site. Collectively these work will bring a sense of intrigue and enhance the experience of living at Hearth House for its future residents.

Practical workshops will cover how to select, curate, and hang work, leading up to a professionally supported public exhibition in the APS main gallery in January 2026. ArtWorks Together 2026

ArtWorks Together is an international festival taking place in 2026 in Sheffield. We are inviting artists to submit work to an international exhibition taking place at Millennium Gallery in Sheffield, exclusively celebrating artists with learning disabilities, or who have autism, or both.

Eligibility: Artists with a learning disability, or who are autistic (or both), aged 16+ and based anywhere in the world, can submit their artwork via our website to be considered by the professional judging panel. Any medium will be considered, from visual art to sculpture, film to digital media.

“Unveiled: Stories Behind the Silence” is a powerful exhibition revealing the hidden stories of domestic violence survivors — from pain and isolation to strength, healing, and hope.

The exhibition is designed to guide visitors through the full emotional spectrum that survivors may experience on their path to recovery.

This project aims to raise funds for Solace, a London-based charity that supports over 30,000 women and children each year in building lives free from abuse.

Online Drawing Development Year from the Royal Drawing School

The Online Drawing Development Year (ODDY) is a year-long, flexible programme from the Royal Drawing School, designed to support arts graduates and practising artists in developing their drawing and studio practice through live online teaching.

Eligibility:

Open to arts graduates and practising artists from all over the world who wish to develop their drawing skills and studio practice. Applicants should be able to commit to a flexible, year-long course taught live online (UK time, Daytime courses are 10am – 5pm and evening courses run 6pm – 9pm, students choose their own schedule combining daytime and evening classes).

Bresler Resident Artists + Montgomery College Collaborative AiR

The Bresler Residency at VisArts (Rockville, MD) offers three artists/teams a 4-month studio residency, $2,000 stipend, and solo exhibition (no housing). CICA Contemporary Art Solo Show Series Spring 2026

Berlinale Talents Open Call

Berlinale Talents is the talent development programme of the Berlin International Film Festival, with a project development lab, the Berlinale Talents Lab, the Talent Project Market and an onsite Summit with panels, discussions, workshops and networking opportunities during the Berlinale each February.

Eligibility: Berlinale Talents is aimed at filmmakers, series and XR content creators with with an existing track record of work. We are currently open to over 15 film disciplines.

Participation in Talents comes with the responsibility to share, and our entire programme is focused not just on what the experts have to offer, but what our Talents can bring to the group too. Each and everyone’s input and the interaction among the participants drive the sessions forward and are a valuable addition to the tapestry of the six days.

What you get: If invited, you will have to cover your accommodation and your travel costs as well as daily expenditures during your stay in Berlin.
