The Huntington Beach Art Center welcomes photography submissions by US veteran photographers for an upcoming exhibition to take place October 23 through December 7 at the Huntington Beach Art Center. Submissions opens on 9/6 through October 1. Up to 26 photographs will be selected for exhibition; not all entries will be selected. Artists will be notified of final decisions October 4. Those selected will be responsible for artwork delivery during the dates of October 17-22, and to pick up their artwork December 8-10.

Juried by artist-curator Marka Burns with Dorte Christjansen and Louise Ivers, Surreal 100 celebrates the centennial of surrealism, marked by the publication of the "First Surrealist Manifesto" by Andre Breton in 1924. Exhibition-related programs include a public opening reception, the popular Art For Lunch and Artist Spotlight lecture series and a Surrealist film screening.

HBAC is located at 538 Main Street, Huntington Beach, California. Artists submitting artwork for gallery display are responsible for in-person artwork delivery and pick up. Reservations are required for artwork delivery. Mailed submissions will not be accepted.
