arebyte, in partnership with Goldsmiths University invites digital artists from around the UK to participate in a four-month residency programme in London, to critically challenge, disrupt, and redefine the boundaries of digital creativity and innovation. The three selected participants will receive a free desk space at arebyte’s facilities in London City Island, curatorial support and guidance, a £1,000 stipend, and access to Goldsmiths University fabrication facilities.

The Keller Prize is an annual art contest founded in 2022. The Keller Prize is open to international artists. The Goldrausch Künstlerinnenprojekt was founded to counteract the structural discrimination of women* visual artists in exhibitions and on the art market. It admits 15 women* visual artists per year and runs for 12 months, from the end of January to December. The programme takes place on a weekly basis, every Thursday and Friday, along with 3–4 intensive weeks.
Eligibility: We are looking forward to applications from women visual artists* of any age working in all disciplines preferably with a completed (arts) degree, or equivalent qualification with sufficient German language skills to follow discussions, contributions may be in English resident in Berlin with experience in artistic practice, specific goals and great motivation with the time and resources needed to work on concepts of communication and marketing while also working in the studio * The project is aimed at female* visual artists, i.e. all women*, including trans women as well as inter and non-binary people
What you get: The course content includes an analysis of the participant’s current position and aims in artistic practice, training in verbal and work presentation, and essential knowledge for self-employment such as tax, financing, and copyright. It also covers Berlin’s art scene through excursions, seminars, discussions, and networking opportunities. Participants will plan and realise a personal website and a catalogue brochure, culminating in a final group exhibition in autumn. The seminars are led by experienced art historians and producers, with guests including curators, gallery owners, artists, and other experts. With over 450 alumnae and an ever-growing network, Goldrausch Künstlerinnenprojekt provides a solid foundation. It is co-funded by the European Union (European Social Fund Plus) and the Federal State of Berlin, subject to approval, covering the programme costs.

We are excited to launch ILLUMINE, an ambitious light art commissioning opportunity for Black and POC artists. This is a positive action that recognises and responds to the lack of artist diversity at festivals of light art. The opportunity is to create a new, striking light art installation that will tour multiple light art festivals in the north of England, be seen by more than one million people, and capture the hearts and minds of audiences.

This programme, conceived and run by Habib Hajallie, outlines the practical steps necessary to sustain a full-time career as an artist. Habib has been a full-time artist since 2019, featured in Forbes' '30 Under 30', elected to The Royal Society of British Artists, and has won multiple awards. Open call for visual artists living or working in Deptford to send a proposal for our first Weekender, 18 to 20 October. We are looking to showcase the diversity of artists and practices based in this vibrant area. Projects can include workshops, performances, exhibitions, installations, screenings, talks, and printed media. Each successful project will have an artist’s fee of £400 and up to £400 production budget. We will select 6 – 9 projects that work best together as a varied and dynamic weekend programme at our partner venue Creekside Discovery Centre.

For the upcoming issue of 87 Gallery’s online round-up publication, we’re looking for submissions of work in any medium that explores the theme SHELTER. Our Guest Editor is artist-writer Jessica El Mal. This theme is broad and we’d love to see submissions that investigate any aspect of the following subjects: home, refuge, retreat, dwellings, exile - displacement, migration, belonging(s), politics of housing, archaeology, globalisation.
Eligibility: Any age and level of experience, open to international submissions of either work in progress or resolved work. We welcome all formats including photography, writing, video, audio, surface-based works, sculpture, digital, textiles, net art, land art, and academic research.

Anonymous Drawings is a curated exhibition for drawings preceded by an open call for international submissions: No fees, no CV's, no portfolios – just drawings. The works will be presented with no mention of authorship or title. The artist's identity is revealed only after the work is sold: Sold drawings will be taken right off the wall and the empty space left behind will be marked with the artist‘s full name and place of origin.
Eligibility: Everyone is eligible.
What you get: The drawings are sold at a symbolic price of 250€ each. The artists will receive 200€ per sale, the remaining 50€ will be used to realise the open calls and the exhibitions. The identity of the artist is revealed only after the work is sold

We’re calling artists to submit proposals to Award, our headline exhibition, for our 2025 Biennial in Stoke-on-Trent. Award celebrates the vitality of contemporary ceramics practice in the UK. Access support is available to anyone who feels they face barriers in making an application.
Eligibility: Artists must be based in the UK between September 2022 and August 2025; Have worked professionally as an individual artist or collective since September 2022. Proposed work must use clay as the primary medium and be based on the exploration of ceramic processes
What you get: 10 Award artists will be selected, and each artist will receive £1,000 towards the preparation and exhibition of their work as part of the Award exhibition at the 2025 Biennial. Once the Biennial is open to the public, the selection panel will meet again to select one artist who wins the BCB Award prize of £10,000 and an invitation to exhibit at BCB 2027.

Newcastle Hospitals Charity Arts Programme is developing a range of new Hospital Arts Trolleys to support the facilitation of creative participatory and engagement activities for patients across Newcastle Hospitals. We are seeking an Artist in Residence to work alongside patients and staff to develop a new Art Trolley and lead an artist-led engagement programme across Newcastle Hospital wards (at RVI and the Freeman Hospital) over the course of 2025-26.
Eligibility: Successful candidates must have an interest in working in the areas of creative health and arts & wellbeing. They should have the belief that arts and creativity can have positive impacts on health, and wellbeing and change lives. They are required prior experience in developing and delivering participatory activities, projects, and/or workshops. We’re seeking artists/creative technologists to prepare and facilitate a digital skills-building Tech-Lab for professional and non-professional artists. The Tech-Labs will be toured over several weeks across four locations in the North, as part of FutureEverything’s new creative development programme, PROTO.

What you get: The fee for Tech-Lab planning and delivery is £400 per Tech-Lab, a total of £1,600 for delivery across the four regions. There are additional resources to support the facilitation of the Tech-Lab, if required.

The East London Art Prize celebrates and promotes the incredible talent and diversity of art made in east London. The winner receives a career-changing prize of £15,000 and a solo exhibition at our Nunnery Gallery, with the runner-up prize receiving a year’s free studio space with Bow Arts.
Eligibility: The prize is open to any artist living or working within an ‘E’ postcode, encompassing E1-E20, SE1-SE28 and EC1-EC4. Submitting artists should hold an arts degree, equivalent arts qualification, or be able to show demonstrable commitment to their artistic practice.
What you get: Twelve artists will be selected for the shortlist exhibition at the Nunnery Gallery and receive a year of mentorship. First prize is a £15,000 cash prize and a solo exhibition at the Nunnery Gallery. Second prize is a year’s free studio space at one of Bow Arts’ studio sites.

The ING Discerning Eye exhibition announces its 2024 call for entries. Sponsored by global bank ING, the open exhibition allows artists to show their work to six distinguished selectors, exhibit in central London and win prizes.
Eligibility: The call is open to UK-based artists. The only limits for artworks are their size, a maximum of 50 centimeters including frame, and that all works must be available for sale. All styles and media are welcome including painting, sculpture, drawing, photography, film, textile, and more.
What you get: Exhibition opportunity at the Mall Galleries in London, a virtual exhibition, and prizes totaling over £12,000. The prizes include the ING Purchase Prize, worth £5,000.

Taber Art Gallery, in partnership with the Thrive Center, at Holyoke Community College is seeking submissions for THRIVE: Beyond Surviving, on view October 31 - December 20, 2024. Artists are encouraged to enter work that considers the systemic, communal, and/or individual obstacles and barriers to survival. They are invited to reflect what surviving means, how we as humans can continue to dream, push, and hope for more than the minimum, and the struggle of exhaustion vs. the ability to rest.
Eligibility: This exhibition is open to any media. Artists must be over 18 and not currently enrolled in an undergraduate program. All work must be original. Collaborations are accepted. Any media is accepted.
