Sankey: Lives Through The Lens - Photographer / Lens-based Artist Commission Call Out
Signal Film and Media is inviting applications from photographers or lens-based artists who will work collaboratively with local people to produce a new artistic commission that responds to The Sankey Family Photographic Archive resulting in a public exhibition.
Eligibility: Experienced photographers or lens-based artists. We are unable to accept applications from students in full-time education.
What you get: The selected artist will work towards an Exhibition in April 2025 and receive a fee of £9,000 (To cover artist fees & workshop delivery fee, production, materials, any travel and accommodation needs).

Craftspace is Looking for a Deaf and Hard of Hearing Creative Producer
We are looking for a Deaf and hard of hearing artist with creative producer skills to lead, develop and run a creative project with Deaf and hard of hearing young people, introducing them to craftivist (craft + activist) approaches to the Climate Emergency.
Eligibility: To apply for this role, you need to be someone who: is an experienced Deaf and hard of hearing artist (ideally a BSL user) who has creative producer and project management skills. has experience of working creatively with young people. is able to work in Birmingham in-person. has a range of skills including digital ones. is engaged with the Climate Emergency. is interested in craft and activism. is interested in intersectionality. Intersectionality is the way that overlapping social identities (gender, race, class, sexuality, ability, religion etc.) can impact individual experience.
What you get: This is a paid freelance role. The fee is £7,500 (including VAT) for 25 days, that’s £300 per day including travel.

Mural Artist for Community Centre Project
Broadfield Community Centre is inviting an artist to design and deliver a participatory art installation at Broadfield Community Centre, Crawley, West Sussex. This project is part of the Broadfield Arts Festival June 2025 and funded by Arts Council England.
We want the art installation to make a joyous, inspirational statement about Broadfield and its residents, appeal to a range of people, and involve the community groups. It should showcase the work of a high quality visual artist or creative, who will also lead 10 workshops with community groups and 1 public talk on the creative process."
Eligibility: UK residents of any age. Should be able to produce a high quality art installation of any medium.
What you get: Artist fee is £7000, plus a materials/installation budget of up to £9000 including VAT. Separate budget for marketing, access, and communication. Your art will be displayed in the community centre and be viewed by all visitors and community group residents.

LGBT+ Armed Forces Community Memorial Commission
Fighting With Pride, on behalf of HM Armed Forces and funded through a government grant, are looking to appoint an artist to deliver a public memorial to be installed at the National Memorial Arboretum. This is to commemorate the service and sacrifice of the LGBT+ Armed Forces community and to recognise the hidden history of LGBT+ Service in HM Armed Forces.
Eligibility: This is an open call to artists with previous experience of public sculpture and who have had a previous commission to the value of £50k or more, who are in residence in the UK and/or whose practice/production is based in the UK.
What you get: Design, production, construction, delivery and installation costs together with in perpetuity maintenance cost, not to exceed £230,000 (including a design fee for the artist (to be agreed).

Way Beyond – Thematic Residency Programme in Finland 2025
Way Beyond is a transdisciplinary residency programme held at the Arteles Creative Center in Hämeenkyrö, Finland. This month-long programme, running in 29-day periods during April and May 2025, is designed for artists, creatives, scientists, and researchers eager to explore and expand our understanding of reality, perception, and the nature of experience.

Workshop Leader Training - Art of Inclusion Training Scheme
Working with leading practitioners, this free Training Scheme develops artists' skills in supporting cross-curricular learning through the arts to underpin diversity, inclusion and equality. In February/ March 2025, artists are invited to explore how they can use their artistic practice to support EDI teaching in schools. Facilitated by expert workshop leaders and drawing from examples of HMDT Music's award-winning work, participants will be taught skills for engaging young people in art-making to help teach diversity and offered mentoring and practical experience in schools.
Eligibility: This course is for practicing artists, musicians, theatre makers and those working in other disciplines who have the desire to deliver work in schools and increase young people's understanding of diversity and inclusion.
What you get: A bursary is given to trainees and support for transport costs are available for people living outside of London
