The aesthetic elaborations that turn their gaze towards formal dynamics have originated from the studies on the organic world. These have been being developed since the nineteenth century, thanks to scientific discoveries and technological inventions such as the microscope, x-rays, microphotography, etc., and all these are tools through which artists could also observe the natural world: in this cultural context Art Noveau develops as an artistic phenomenon characterized by a style that uses curved and sinuous lines to create fluid and dynamic shapes inspired by nature.

Stemming out of very different principles and cultural backgrounds, other important movements have later given wide space to studies on aesthetic dynamics, such as Futurism, a movement born during the technological boom that allowed a new perception of space and time, and a movement that, inspired above all else by the inventions in the field of communication, gave life to new aesthetics that represent a praise to speed.

The “Aesthetic Dynamics” call deals with a theme that inherits intellectual historical precepts from which, thanks to continuous scientific and technological development, it is still possible to provide new perceptions of reality.

This call welcomes photographic, video and digital works with no limit of style and genre.

Precisely through thevisions of the natural world, the call for the exhibition "Wildness"intends to select works that can express a "romantic"approach to nature, as well as those works of the documentary,scientific -anthropological/ -botany/ -zoological kind that help us get in touch with it.

FOUND AND DISCOVERED

For more than a century, photography has been used as a documentary medium to detect the signs of human passage in our surroundings. The use of photographic, and subsequently even video, media allows the focus of attention to be placed on the single object or trace "discovered", from which information about human behavior can be captured .

One of the major changes that occurred during the early years of the twentieth century in the field of aesthetic phenomenology is, as a matter of fact, determined by the introduction of these new means of detection of reality, means that consent us to adopt a new way of grasping from reality the elements that we believe useful in the creation of a discourse.

Grasping and analyzing also means to extrapolate from a context the objects that interest us, found objects that become compositional elements in a new expression of the self.

Not only objects, but also places can reveal something that we consider significant for history and science, for our collective memory and our individual memory. 

The call is open to photographic, video and visual digital works, that present themselves as the result of an expression of research, discovery, valorization, analysis or critique, revealing what we seize from human and natural environmental contexts.

The collection that will be presentedat LoosenArt’s next exhibition will be dedicated to the memoriesand experiences of the past. Fragments of yesterday inviting us toreflect on what has been, who we were and changes in the state ofthings. The theme is open to works that involve us on differentlevels of existence, and tell about the self, about one’s own lifeand biography, but also about "us" and our collectivememory, through the historical documentation of our culture, of ourspaces, habits and customs.

The call "Echoes of Yesterday"will collect photographic, digital and video works capable ofinvolving the visitor in a wide spectrum of emotions, stimulatinginterest and curiosity.

The works collected thanks to this callwill put into evidence the most intrinsic meaning of the photographicmedium within the cinematic narrative/visual scene.

Fragments and extrapolations ofcontexts, settings, characters, details etc. which highlight theaesthetic value of a narration or place emphasis on the salientfeatures of a story.

The position of the spectator inviewing the cinematographic product is always determined by thephotographic/filmic eye that captures, and the exhibition willtherefore highlight the role of the photographer with his technicaland aesthetic choices in determining the involvement of the user inthe construction of a story.
