ABSTRACT Open Call for Group Show

Open Call: Tbilisi Landscape Modeling Workshop

Ubani — Tbilisi Cityscape Research Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to exploring Tbilisi’s architectural and urban landscape. In September 2025, as part of its “Rocks” program, Ubani will host a Landscape Modeling Workshop led by Italian architect Renato Rizzi, with Susanna Pisciella and Giorgia Antonioli from IUAV University of Venice. The workshop will explore new modeling approaches focused on Tbilisi’s unique form, including the Metekhi cliff, and aims to foster dialogue and collaboration through research, education, and public engagement.

Connections Through Culture Grants 2025

The British Council’s Connections Through Culture (CTC) Grants support artistic collaboration between the UK and select countries in the Asia-Pacific and Europe. The grants of up to £10,000 support collaborative projects between artists, creative practitioners and arts organisations, fostering cross-cultural exchange and lasting relationships.

Eligibility: Each application must comprise of at least one UK partner and one international partner from Malaysia. All art forms. Open to individuals or organisations.

What you get: The grants of up to £10,000 support the development of new creative projects leading to collaborative activities that promote the exchange of skills, knowledge, and practice. Various approaches can be taken such as art residencies, exhibitions, performances, showcases, publications, webinars, and conferences, among others. Projects can be digital, face to face or a hybrid of both.

Clay Films 2025

Clay Films celebrates the medium of clay and the artists who capture the vitality of this material with film.

This programme is open to Global Majority artists of African and Caribbean heritage based throughout the world and invites them to submit an existing short film for consideration.

Eligibility: To apply for Clay Films you must be a Global Majority artist of African and Caribbean heritage over 18 years of age, working with the mediums of clay and film.

What you get: Each of the ten exhibitors selected for Clay Films will receive a £350 presentation fee payment. Clay Films exhibitors will benefit from a national PR and marketing campaign.

Diriyah Art Futures Emerging New Media Artists Programme

The Emerging New Media Artists Programme is a supported one-year programme of theoretical engagement, creative production and technical training for emerging artists working in New Media and Digital Art. Developed in collaboration with Le Fresnoy - Studio National des Arts Contemporains, the programme offers participants access to cutting-edge technology, production facilities, and mentorship from leading international artists and scholars.

Eligibility: The Emerging New Media Artist Programme is open to emerging creative practitioners from all over the world, with a focus on those from the Middle East and North Africa. Applicants should be 35 years or younger, at graduate or postgraduate completion stage and/or have experience in developing and creating digital and new media art.

Open Call for Queer Artists in Collaboration wiht the LGBT Foundation

As a part of our Partnership, SEESAW has committed to fundraising for The LGBT Foundation. 'I Will Never Be Finished Removing All These Faces' is an exhibition to provide space for queer artists based in Manchester/North West England to showcase their work and to raise funds to ensure the Foundation can continue their work. The exhibition will explore questions around the discovery of self and connection to others. Personal and unique interpretations are welcome, alluding to the idea of the past/present/future all happening at once, and how one’s identity evolves or changes shape over time.

Eligibility: We're looking for artworks from artists, who identify as LGBTQ+ and work to the theme, to be donated as a part of the exhibition and art sale, with all sales and donations to The LGBT Foundation. This exhibition is an opportunity to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community, queer art and will take place during the month of Pride.

What you get: This exhibition will take place in SEESAW's Cafe gallery space and is free to enter. We will be providing a People's Choice Award for the exhibiting artists, which will be a Solo Show in SEESAW's Cafe space in 2026 for the duration of a month at the artist's convenience.

Public Art Commission: Artist Expression of Interest Call Out

The commissioned public art will support the regeneration of Hastings, East Sussex, Town Centre by enhancing placemaking, aligning with public realm improvements, and reflecting the area’s identity and heritage, inspired by the benefits of bringing nature and biodiversity into urban areas. To deliver the project a max. budget of £90,000 is available.

South West Artist Residency

East Quay is pleased to offer a 6-week residency to a South West based artist in our sought-after Studio 10 Project Space at East Quay. The residency will take place from: Friday 21 November 2025 to Sunday 4 January 2026 inclusively. We are accepting applications from artists working in all mediums.

Art South Asia Project (ASAP) and Asia Art Archive in India (AAA-I) announce an open call for Assembling Art Archives: Workshops for South Asia, a programme on archiving within the field of modern and contemporary art from South Asia.

ASAP partners with AAA-I to host Assembling Art Archives: Workshops for South Asia, a ten-month-long online programme on archiving within the field of modern and contemporary art from South Asia. The first of its kind in the region, this programme hopes to foster learning exchange of methods, frameworks, and techniques for the building of art archives, with sessions facilitated by archivists working in diverse institutional contexts across the Global South and beyond.

Assembling Art Archives is designed for participants working in arts organisations and institutions, artist estates and studios, and independent arts spaces in the region. Scheduled to commence in August 2025, the programme consists of a maximum of twenty participants selected via open call from Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. The online programme will be accompanied by an in-person gathering in Nepal in November 2025.

Just Futures Impact Story Lab 2025

With the recent political and cultural shifts across Southeast Asia, it’s time for storytellers to come together, learn from one another, and consolidate efforts. We invite storymakers from the region to join the Just Futures Impact Story Lab to reclaim our narratives. By sharing experiences and strategies, we can collectively drive systemic change. This will be a space for listening, learning, and solidarity—where we recognize that our struggles are not isolated, but interconnected. It starts with your story. Let's rewrite the future.

Eligibility: Storymakers working on audiovisual projects that address issues in Southeast Asia. This includes feature-length and short fiction and documentary films, interactive web series, campaign videos (commissioned or independent), animation, and other audiovisual formats.

Projects and applicants must be from one of the following countries: Brunei, Burma (Myanmar), Cambodia, Timor-Leste, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, or Vietnam.

What you get: Accommodation and travel for participants will be covered by In-Docs (maximum of 2 persons per project). Travel expenses for participants coming from or returning to cities outside the Southeast Asia region will not be covered. Talks and discussions, workshops and meetings.

SPAM New Media Festival invites artists and practitioners working with digital, experimental and emerging artforms to submit work to be presented at the Georgetown Steam Plant in Seattle.

YEAR 3000 - South Asian Futurisms

Within the global South Asian community lies a vast archive of cultures, spiritualities, and ancient knowledge—much of it buried by colonisation in the name of “progress.” As our world unravels, this wisdom might be exactly what we need to restore balance. But true change requires looking beyond today’s crises, beyond the short-sighted mistakes of history. Place yourself in the year 3000 and imagine new futures: with nature, with technology, with each other. Selected works will be part of a VR exhibition exploring these speculative, layered futures.

Open Call! NAIR 2025 – public space installation residency in Narva

The Narva Art Residency, in collaboration with the Narva municipality’s department of architecture and urban planning, is launching its second open call for a large-scale public art installation or sculpture.

The installation will also serve as a platform for outdoor exhibitions, offering opportunities to engage and highlight various communities in Narva. The artist will be able to be present during the production process of the installation and engage in meaningful exchanges with local people.

Eligibility: This open call is for artists, architects, and creatives from Estonia and abroad. We are looking for applicants who are ready to lead the process hands-on, from sketch to final installation. The grant is awarded to one individual, and the residency is open to one or two participants, though the broader team of authors may be larger.

What you get: The selected applicant will receive a fee of [€2,000] and a production budget to cover materials and construction. Travel and accommodation at Narva Art Residency (NART) will be provided if needed. The artist will have access to studio space, expert mentoring from architects and curators (ALPA, NART, etc.), and technical support. Their work will be exhibited at Stockholm Square, serving as a long-term outdoor exhibition space. The project will be promoted via media, publications, and social channels, offering visibility, networking, and engagement with the local community, including artists and educators.
