The Dover Prize

Nested in the heart of a dynamic city, Tirana Art Residency – Vila 31 x Art Explora aims to support contemporary creation in all its forms, within a transdisciplinary and transgenerational perspective.

Opened in January 2025, Vila 31 x Art Explora runs a dynamic cultural programme in collaboration with local stakeholders, institutions, schools, and associations, including exhibitions, workshops, film screenings, discussions, and festivals open to all.

Eligibility: Artists and collectives, researchers and curators from all around the world are invited to apply for the residency programme. The application process is open only once a year for all 2026 sessions.

South West Artist Residency

East Quay is pleased to offer a 6-week residency to a South West based artist in our sought-after Studio 10 Project Space at East Quay. The residency will take place from: Friday 21 November 2025 to Sunday 4 January 2026 inclusively. We are accepting applications from artists working in all mediums.

Open call for Artist- Jaipur Art Week 5.0

Building on the legacy of previous iterations, Jaipur Art Week Edition 5.0 launches an Open Call, inviting artists and creatives to share innovative proposals for new work that will encourage meaningful and open dialogue and collaboration.

Open Call | Assembling Art Archives: Workshops for South Asia

Art South Asia Project (ASAP) and Asia Art Archive in India (AAA-I) announce an open call for Assembling Art Archives: Workshops for South Asia, a programme on archiving within the field of modern and contemporary art from South Asia.

ASAP partners with AAA-I to host Assembling Art Archives: Workshops for South Asia, a ten-month-long online programme on archiving within the field of modern and contemporary art from South Asia. The first of its kind in the region, this programme hopes to foster learning exchange of methods, frameworks, and techniques for the building of art archives, with sessions facilitated by archivists working in diverse institutional contexts across the Global South and beyond.

Assembling Art Archives is designed for participants working in arts organisations and institutions, artist estates and studios, and independent arts spaces in the region. Scheduled to commence in August 2025, the programme consists of a maximum of twenty participants selected via open call from Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. The online programme will be accompanied by an in-person gathering in Nepal in November 2025.

Just Futures Impact Story Lab 2025

With the recent political and cultural shifts across Southeast Asia, it’s time for storytellers to come together, learn from one another, and consolidate efforts. We invite storymakers from the region to join the Just Futures Impact Story Lab to reclaim our narratives. By sharing experiences and strategies, we can collectively drive systemic change. Eligibility: Storymakers working on audiovisual projects that address issues in Southeast Asia. This includes feature-length and short fiction and documentary films, interactive web series, campaign videos (commissioned or independent), animation, and other audiovisual formats.

But true change requires looking beyond today’s crises, beyond the short-sighted mistakes of history. Place yourself in the year 3000 and imagine new futures: with nature, with technology, with each other. Selected works will be part of a VR exhibition exploring these speculative, layered futures.

Open Call! NAIR 2025 – public space installation residency in Narva

The Narva Art Residency, in collaboration with the Narva municipality’s department of architecture and urban planning, is launching its second open call for a large-scale public art installation or sculpture.

The installation will also serve as a platform for outdoor exhibitions, offering opportunities to engage and highlight various communities in Narva. The artist will be able to be present during the production process of the installation and engage in meaningful exchanges with local people.

Eligibility: This open call is for artists, architects, and creatives from Estonia and abroad. We are looking for applicants who are ready to lead the process hands-on, from sketch to final installation. The grant is awarded to one individual, and the residency is open to one or two participants, though the broader team of authors may be larger.

What you get: The selected applicant will receive a fee of [€2,000] and a production budget to cover materials and construction. Travel and accommodation at Narva Art Residency (NART) will be provided if needed. The artist will have access to studio space, expert mentoring from architects and curators (ALPA, NART, etc.), and technical support. The Cass Art Prize 2025

The Cass Art Prize 2025, presented by The Cass Group, aims to champion contemporary art from across the UK and the Republic of Ireland with a £10,000 cash prize and a free stand at The Other Art Fair in spring 2026 to the overall winner of the competition. There are additional prizes worth £15,000 including a Students Award, an Art Educators Award and more! Plus a prestigious group exhibition at Copeland Gallery, London in autumn 2025.

Eligibility: The prize is open to all artists of all abilities based in the UK, Isle of Man, the Channel Islands (Jersey and Guernsey) & the Republic of Ireland aged 18+. This unique fellowship offers opportunities for playful experimentation and the space to re-imagine beyond conventional artistic and scientific boundaries.

INSTINC 2025 Artist-in-Residence Program

INSTINC seeks for artists/creative individuals whose work embodies clear conceptual ideas and innovative approaches that resonate deeply with the contemporary cultural landscape.

Eligibility: We welcome artists, artist duos, collectives, or any other practitioners from any medium or discipline, irrespective of their geographical location, who are craving for a dedicated space and focused time in initiating, expanding and finalising a project.

What you get: The residency is split into 2 sections: Production and Exhibition. 6 weeks of residency is equivalent to 5 weeks of Production + 1 week of Exhibition.

All artist-in-residence will be given an opportunity to exhibit in the gallery space of INSTINC for one week at the end of their residencies, regardless of the duration of residency. Opening reception and Artist Talk scheduled during the exhibition. Each artists will be included on the website of INSTINC, along with mention in the press release. During the residencies, social media campaign will be scheduled for the promotion of artists and projects.

ALA Art Prize 2025

The 5th edition of ALA Art Prize launches its Open Call to all Italian and foreign artists and collectives working in Italy. This open call is dedicated to a cross-cultural artistic community, with no age limits, which stands out for the variety of its experiences, perspectives and languages.

The winning project, selected by Giovanni Carmine, Eugenio Viola, and Alessia Volpe, will receive a production prize of €10.000, plus a €2.000 fee for the artist.

There’s also a new prize for under-35s: in 2025’s edition we created an Acquisition Award for young artists.

Eligibility: The call is open to all artists or collectives of artists of Italian nationality and to foreign artists, or collectives of artists, active in Italy

New Forest National Park Residencies 2025/26

The New Forest National Park Artist in Residence Programme is an opportunity for artists of any discipline to work with and comment on a chosen area, idea, or community within or engaging with the National Park. The brief is purposefully open to encourage artists to pursue a line of prolonged research whilst on their residency and to connect with a local and national audience with site specific work and/or a gallery show six months on. The residencies are designed to allow artists to build closer links between contemporary questions of the Forest and the people and more urban spaces that make up the National Park. We are looking for artists with an inspiring vision and a sense on urgency, whose focus is on creativity inspiring change. The highly protected nature of the National Park means that we are interested in artists who can understand this special landscape and respond to this positively in their work. This is an incredible chance to build a collection of responses from artists whose knowledge and experience can help to positively promote arts throughout the National Park.

The 2025 Abbey Mural Prize is juried by members of the National Academy, including both artists and architects. The Abbey Mural Prize supports projects with grants typically ranging from $10,000 to $40,000. Grants are awarded to create or restore public murals, especially those that promote accessibility and serve local audiences. While murals are conventionally defined as paintings or mosaics on a wall, the prize also encourages proposals that broaden and challenge the definition of what a contemporary mural can be.

Zaratan Air Residency Program in Lisbon - May to December 2025

The residency program is designed for international artists - or national artists residing abroad - for the development of artistic projects, individual or collective.

Driven by the desire to intensify and exchange knowledge with artists through creative and productive practices, in 2015 Zaratan announced the promotion of an international art residency. Our goal is to mix experienced with emerging artists and give them the possibility to bring their work in an experimental context through exchange and collaboration within the local network.

What you get: The artists-in-residence at Zaratan are given the opportunity to develop a project over a fixed period of time, and to reflect and consolidate their artistic practice in the specific context of Lisbon.
